RBC Royal Bank is leading the way to a brighter future for Nova Scotians. RBC is marking a decade of supporting the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia’s signature fundraiser by taking the lead as Presenting Sponsor of the Festival of Trees. This commitment is a steadfast show of support to Nova Scotians living with mental illness and addiction during what has been an incredibly challenging year.

“Many more Nova Scotians are experiencing mental disorders as a direct result of the pandemic and those with pre-existing conditions have been impacted even more by the fear, uncertainty, and isolation associated with COVID-19,” says Starr Cunningham, Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia President & CEO. “We are incredibly grateful for RBC’s longstanding generosity which will enable us to host this important fundraiser and raise vital funds for Nova Scotians living with mental illness and addiction when they need it the most.”

This year, the Festival of Trees presented by RBC is branching out into a two week event featuring public viewings of the beloved Forest of Trees located at The Doyle, and the new Resto Festo where participating eateries donate a portion of their sales to mental health. The festival culminates in the Spotlight for Mental Health Benefit Concert streaming live on Saturday, November 28, 2020. Funds raised will increase access to mental health supports and services in communities throughout Nova Scotia while working to eradicate the stigma surrounding mental illness and addiction.

“RBC is proud to work with the Mental Health Foundation to make a difference in the lives of Nova Scotians by supporting mental health initiatives in our communities,” said Chris Ronald, RBC Regional President, Atlantic Provinces. “Support for mental health is needed now, more than ever, and I hope Nova Scotians will come out and support this year’s Festival of Trees.”

Tickets go on sale October 2020 and more details will be announced in the coming weeks. Join us November 14-28 for the Festival of Trees presented by RBC as we provide hope for all Nova Scotians, especially those living with mental illness and addiction. With growing demand for mental health funding, your support is needed now, more than ever. To learn more visit mentalhealthns.ca/festival-of-trees.
