October 6, 2022 (Dartmouth) – The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia recognized six outstanding Nova Scotians for their inspirational contributions to the mental health community today. The awards were presented during the Foundation’s virtual event, Let’s Keep Talking with Jenna Robar, presented by Bell Let’s Talk.
“The Mental Health Foundation is delighted to award and celebrate these incredible Nova Scotians who are inspiring others with their dedication to mental health and wellness,” says Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia President & CEO Starr Cunningham. “We’re pleased to have had the ability to highlight their contributions and listen to Jenna Robar’s incredible story of resilience to help us mark Mental Illness Awareness Week.”

Presented by Bell Let’s Talk, the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia’s 8th annual Let’s Keep Talking was once again hosted by CTV Atlantic’s Paul Hollingsworth. The online event aims to provide hope and eradicate the stigma surrounding mental disorders while encouraging an ongoing conversation about mental health. This year’s keynote was delivered by Jenna Robar. An accredited Holistic Health Coach, passionate advocate, and traditional hand-drummer and singer, Jenna shared an empowering message of resiliency and hope from the perspective of a Mi’kmaw woman who lives with an eating disorder.
