Tim Hortons supports two great charities with one cookie

Sept. 12, 2022 – The annual Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign is back.

This year, the proceeds from Tim Hortons’ Smile Cookie Week, taking place September 19th through 25th, will go to Feed Nova Scotia and the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia to help fuel the bodies and minds of Nova Scotians.

One hundred per cent of the proceeds from sales of Smile Cookies will help support these organizations and the communities they help.

Starr Cunningham, president and CEO of the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia is happy to be onboard for this year’s cookie campaign. “It’s an honour and privilege to be one of the named organizations. Thanks to this year’s campaign, we look forward to spreading awareness, hope and help within our community.”

The first Smile Cookie campaign was launched in 1996, originally raising funds for Hamilton Children's Hospital. Since then, the annual charitable campaign has raised a total of more than $77 million for charities and organizations selected every year by Tim Hortons restaurant owners. Recipients include local hospitals, community care organizations, food banks and schools.

Feed Nova Scotia is thrilled to be receiving support through the campaign again this year. “Funds raised help us ensure Nova Scotians have food in their time of need and allow us to advocate for long-term, policy-based solutions to food insecurity,” says Nick Jennery, Feed Nova Scotia’s executive director. “This small cookie has a big impact, and we’re grateful to Tim Hortons restaurant owners, team members, and guests for their awesome support.”

To participate in this year's Smile Cookie campaign, visit your local Tim Hortons restaurant or place an order through the Tim Hortons mobile app for delivery.
