for Seniors in Need

Heather Lynn Rea was a dedicated mental healthcare professional who served her community for many years as a psychiatric social worker, beginning in the outpatient clinic setting at the Abbie Lane Hospital and towards the end of her career supporting older adults and their families with the seniors mental health program, until her retirement from Capital Health in 2017. Heather was passionate about her work in mental health and was recognized in 2014 for her important role in education by the Dalhousie Department of Psychiatry.

The Heather Rea Humanitarian Fund for Seniors in Need was established in her honour. Every donation to this fund will help further the work that was so important to her.
