BMO Bank of Montreal is helping the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia put mental health in the spotlight as Presenting Sponsor of A Very Different Stage of Mind. BMO is a longstanding supporter of the Foundation and its signature events, dating back more than thirteen years contributing to the success of many of the Foundation’s increasing levels of mental health funding across the province through sponsorship, promotion, attendance, and much more.
“As the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia pushes for greater investment and innovation in mental health, we are proud to have BMO Bank of Montreal by our side,” says Starr Cunningham, President & CEO of the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia. “BMO’s ongoing commitment shows the value the financial institution places on mental health in business and our communities.”
The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia commends the active role BMO Bank of Montreal takes in eradicating the stigma associated with mental illness and addiction through corporate giving, employee involvement in fundraising events, and mental health awareness initiatives. In addition to its event sponsorship, BMO Financial Group made a $50,000 gift to support community programs for Nova Scotians impacted by the mass shooting in April 2020.
“Mental health is a paramount priority and we are grateful for the leadership of the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia in raising awareness, eliminating stigma, and advocating for mental health services and outcomes for all Nova Scotians,” says Justin Scully, Regional President, Personal Banking Atlantic Provinces. "The unprecedented challenges of the last year make this leadership and advocacy even more important.”
