The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia Announces Inaugural Evergreen Gala

HALIFAX, NS, Friday, October 7th – A new signature event is set to take root in Nova Scotia! The RBC Evergreen Gala will take place on Saturday, November 26th, 2022 at the Halifax Convention Centre. The fresh and festive black-tie affair is set to become the most anticipated celebration of the season.

“It’s very exciting to be turning a new leaf with the announcement of the inaugural RBC Evergreen Gala,” says Starr Cunningham, President and CEO of the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia. “Our incredibly successful Festival of Trees ran for 30 years and now we look forward to engaging our Nova Scotia community by turning evergreen. Our goal remains steadfast - to raise much-needed funds and end the stigma surrounding mental illness and addiction in our province. There’s never been a more important time to do that.”

The RBC Evergreen Gala will feature many of the highlights attendees remember from Festival of Trees including amazing cuisine, outstanding entertainment, exciting silent and live auctions, raffles, and photo booths - with some new and exciting surprises!

“The Foundation has been partnering with the Evergreen Festival, created by our friends at Develop Nova Scotia, for the last two years,” says Cunningham. “This new gala will allow us to kick-off the month-long outdoor festival that features Nova Scotia vendors, talent, incredible light installments, and fun while supporting the one in four Nova Scotians who live with mental illness and addiction at the same time.”

With the continued support of Nova Scotia’s business and philanthropic communities, the Foundation is confident the RBC Evergreen Gala will become one of Halifax’s/K’jipuktuk’s premiere fundraising evenings.
