NSHA's Online Mental Health Services Available to All Nova Scotians

Our Nova Scotia Health Authority colleagues have launched three new e-mental health services through the Mental Health and Addictions Program. Nova Scotians can now self-refer to these free online tolls via the links below.

  • ICAN (Conquer Anxiety and Nervousness) – Anxiety ProgramThis program is best suited for people looking for help with anxiety and depression. Participants will learn valuable life-skills proven to help overcome anxiety through e-learning, videos videos, and weekly telephone coaching. This private and confidential service is led by Strongest Families Institute.   

  • Mindwell UMindwell U is a free, five-minute daily online challenge which can be accessed anywhere and on any device. Learn the basics of mindfulness-in-action while developing skills that enable you to become calmer, present and more focused in any given moment.

  • Therapy Assistance Online (TAO) This program is a free, private online resource for people having mental health challenges. Through video and interactive exercises, you will improve your knowledge and self-awareness while developing stress management skills, 

    mindfulness techniques, problem solving, and more helpful thinking patterns.
