Nova Scotians living with Mental Illness and Addiction Need You to Be the Link

Staying connected during this unprecedented time is vital. Especially for Nova Scotians living with mental illness and addiction. To continue offering supports and services during the COVID-19 pandemic, Nova Scotia Mental Health and Addictions clinicians are supporting their clients through virtual care to minimize the risk of exposure. Visitors are no longer able to spend time with their loved ones in hospital. Ties to circles of support have been cut off.

“Now, more than ever, we need to be innovative and work to find ways to link inpatients and outpatients to the services they need to stay on the path to recovery,” says Starr Cunningham, Mental Health Foundation President & CEO.  “We are hoping Nova Scotians who are able to donate, will help us make these vital links possible.”

The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia is asking YOU to Be The Link.  Funds raised will connect Nova Scotians to the supports they so desperately need during the coronavirus pandemic.

“We can’t thank the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia enough for once again responding to the needs of individuals living with mental illness, including addictions and their circumstances,” says Sam Hodder, NSHA Mental Health and Addictions Senior Director. “NSHA Mental Health and Addictions is committed to providing high quality mental health and addictions care and support throughout the pandemic and after.”
