Emera Youth Mental Health Grant nurtures self-confidence in HRM’s leaders of tomorrow

We’re proud to partner with Emera on the Emera Youth Mental Health Grant to fund mental wellness initiatives serving youth in Halifax Regional Municipality.

The first installment of the Emera Youth Mental Health Grant was awarded to the Saint George’s YouthNet Teen Program. More than 25 youth in Halifax’s marginalized North End have benefitted from programming that creates opportunities for social connection, mentorship, skill-building, and adventure. Teen Program participants gather twice a week for activities like cooking workshops, camping trips, and outings to the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Symphony Nova Scotia, and wellness farms.
