Lindsay Construction Executive VP, Kirby Putnam launches music single for mental health

Dartmouth, NS – April 29, 2015

On May 6, for Mental Health Week and the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia’s second annual Let’s Keep Talking event, Lindsay Construction Executive VP Kirby Putnam will return to the stage to share his original song “Faith,” and officially launch it as a single. Proceeds from “Faith” will benefit the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia.

On February 20, 2015, Kirby took on the persona of music legend James Taylor at the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia’s A Different Stage of Mind fundraiser. His final song was “Faith,” an original musical tribute to his brother, the late Dr. Andrew Putnam. Dr. Putnam struggled with mental illness, and passed away in summer 2014. Kirby walked away as winner of the People’s Choice Award, and touched many in the audience with his message of hope.

The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia is thrilled to see Kirby continue to share his message, and change lives through his music. He will be sharing his family’s story, along with his talents at the Let’s Keep Talking with Michael Landsberg, May 6, 2015, 6:00 pm at the Spatz Theatre in Halifax. Tickets are $25.00 each and are available at www.mentalhealthns.ca/lets-keep-talking

“Faith” will be available at mentalhealthns.ca starting May 6 for $2.99. The song was written and performed by Kirby Putnam, with backup vocals by Reeny Smith. It was produced by Chris Iannetti.
