May 29, 2026 — Thanks to the generosity of Tim Hortons HRM locations, team members, volunteers, and customers across the Halifax Regional Municipality, this year’s Smile Cookie campaign raised an incredible $428,121.76 in support of three important causes.
Proceeds from the campaign will support the IWK Foundation ($192,654.79), the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia ($192,654.79), and Tim Hortons Foundation Camps ($42,811.18).
Representatives from the three organizations recently gathered with Tim Hortons for a cheque presentation celebrating the community’s remarkable support.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who purchased a Smile Cookie, volunteered their time, or helped spread the word,” said Lisa Weatherhead, Director of Development at the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia. “Every cookie sold represents a simple act of kindness that will help strengthen mental health supports and services throughout HRM.”
Funds raised for the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia will help support community-based mental health and addictions initiatives that provide hope, foster understanding, and build stronger connections throughout Nova Scotia.
The annual Smile Cookie campaign continues to demonstrate the power of community coming together for a common cause. From restaurant teams decorating cookies to customers purchasing them one at a time or by the box, every contribution helped make a meaningful difference.
Thank you to Tim Hortons, the IWK Foundation, Tim Hortons Foundation Camps, and everyone who helped make this year’s campaign such a sweet success.
