Acknowledging Support & Promoting Mental Health Funding
We want you to share your exciting news about receiving a Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia Community Grant. Recognizing our support helps us emphasize the importance of mental health and addiction funding, showcase the many programs and services available to those seeking help, and change the way people think about mental illness and addiction. It also helps us demonstrate the impact of donating to the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia.
What do I need to recognize?
Please recognize the support you received from the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia in any marketing or communications related to your project, initiative, and/or the work for which you received funding from the Foundation.
In written communications, please use the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia’s logo (downloadable below) with the following statement:
This project is proudly funded by the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia.
Please ensure the written recognition uses the full name of the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia (do not use abbreviations like Mental Health NS or MHFNS).
Where do I include this recognition?
Please include recognition of our support on your website, social media, press releases, events, and any other types of marketing or promotion related to your project, initiative, and/or the work for which you received funding from the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia.

The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia is a registered charity dedicated to increasing financial support for community initiatives throughout the province that provide hope and eradiate the stigma surrounding mental illness and addiction. Our mission is to make a difference in the lives of Nova Scotians by supporting mental health initiatives that enable Nova Scotians living with mental disorders to thrive in our communities. In 2021-22 the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia distributed more than 2 million dollars in mental health funding to programs and services across the province.

The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia logo is an important visible representation of the work we do to increase financial support to mental health initiatives throughout Nova Scotia while changing the way people think about mental illness and addiction. We request that it be used consistently, according to the guidelines laid out in the downloadable guidelines below.
