28-year-old Neil Hamilton is crossing the country, city by city, raising awareness about mental health and addiction.
Hamilton was diagnosed with PTSD after witnessing a fatal head-on collision in 2017 and his attempts to save a woman named Samantha were unsuccessful. After experiencing the challenges of navigating the mental health system firsthand, Hamilton decided to set out on foot to change the way people think.
Neil Hamilton is determined to eradicate stigma while raising funds for mental health and addiction programs and services. The Mental Health Foundation is proud to be chosen as his beneficiary while he travels through Nova Scotia.
