The Northwood Foundation launched its “Brake the Stigma Car Raffle” recently to raise money to support Northwood’s mental health initiatives. Thanks to a generous donation from Colonial Honda in Halifax, the Foundation is selling raffle tickets on a new 2016 Honda Civic SE. Proceeds from the raffle will go to mental health programs at Northwood. A portion of proceeds from the raffle will also support the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia.
Northwood’s Seeds of Success Program, an activity-based treatment model, was initiated in June 2015 and has already had a significant positive impact on those living at Northwood who suffer the stigma of mental illness. The program was also supported in part by a Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia Community Grant.
The draw will take place on September 10th, 2016 during the Northwood Foundation’s “Walk of Ages”.
Tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100 and can be purchased by calling the Northwood Foundation office at 902-454-3069. You can also order your tickets online
