Compassion and empathy are cornerstones of supporting people along their mental health journey. Sometimes a simple Message of Kindness can spark hope, light, and connection in someone’s life.

For six years, Killam Apartments and Southwest Properties have partnered with the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia on the Message of Kindness campaign, matching funds raised in support of mental health and addiction programs across the province.

We invite you to share your own Message of Kindness, compliments of Killam Apartments and Southwest Properties. If you would like to add a donation, there’s an option to do so below.

Your message will be handwritten on ornaments displayed on Christmas trees in the Halifax Brewery Market, Glow Gardens, and the Mount Hope Centre at Nova Scotia Hospital. It may also be featured on the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia’s website and social media channels throughout the holiday season.
